American Foundation for the Blind Announces New Resource
The American Foundation for the Blind has announced a new section on their Web site — Diabetes — A Guide to Caring for Yourself When You Have Vision Loss. The guide includes information on healthy eating, monitoring, taking medications, coping, and other resources. The guide was written by Ann S. Williams, Ph.D., R.N., CDE, a nurse with 20 years of experience as a diabetes educator, much of that experience in blindness rehabilitation settings.
