H.R. 3219 would affect several veterans’ programs dealing with medical care and insurance. H.R. 3219 also would establish a new fund to provide benefits to certain veterans of World War II. CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 3219 would cost $229 million in 2010 and $895 million over the 2010-2014 period, assuming appropriation of the specified and estimated amounts.
