A healthy dose of optimism may help some women ward off risk of heart disease and death, researchers have found.
Positive attitudes were associated with significantly lower rates of coronary heart disease and total mortality, compared with more negative outlooks on life, Hilary A. Tindle, MD, MPH, of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and colleagues reported in the Aug. 10 issue of Circulation.
