A story in this morning’s WSJ calls attention to a strange alignment of stars in the DC firmament: Democrats and many business leaders are calling for changes to the health-care system that Republicans largely oppose.
“The status quo is a prescription for failure,” Eastman Kodak CEO Antonio Perez said in a recent statement cited by the story. Perez called the Baucus health bill “a bold framework…that builds on what works and improves what doesn’t.”
Perez heads the health group for the Business Roundtable, which recently put out a report calling for changes to the health-care system.
