Lawsuit Settled with Company for Unlawfully Refusing to Hire Applicant Who Participated in Drug Rehab Program - Disability.gov

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged Hussey Copper, Ltd. with refusing to hire an applicant because of his participation in a medically supervised drug rehabilitation program. Refusing to hire a qualified individual because of his or her disability, record of disability or because the employer perceives a person as having a disability, violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
