HR 7148: Medicare Beneficiary Freedom to Choose Act of 2008

September 26, 2008 - Introduced by Rep. Samuel Johnson [R-TX] and referred to House Energy and Commerce Committee. The bill will amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to clarify the use of private contracts by Medicare beneficiaries for professional services and to allow individuals to choose to opt out of the Medicare part A benefits.
