Loss of funding forces Lennie Marie Toliver Adult Alternative Care Center in Oklahoma City to close | NewsOK.com

One of the city’s oldest adult day care centers closed Friday after state and local funding ran out. The Lennie Marie Toliver Adult Alternative Care Center, 2001 Martin Luther King Ave., will no longer offer services to the 22 adults who spent their days at the center, said Sandra Stutson, the center’s executive director. The center’s seven employees also will be jobless. (The center is named for the former U.S. Commissioner on Aging). Read More
