Assistant Secretary for Aging Kathy Greenlee has announced the availability of approximately $10 million for Alzheimer’s Disease Supportive Services Program (ADSSP) Projects. These projects will provide the opportunity for the Administration on Aging’s national network of community-based organizations and its partners to strengthen their approach in providing services and supports for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) and their family caregivers.
Funding is available through two Program Announcements: “Evidence-Based Programs to Better Serve People with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders” and “Innovation Programs to Better Serve People with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders.” Eligible applicants are all instrumentalities of state government, which includes – but are not limited to – State Agencies on Aging.
Informational teleconferences are scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. EST (Innovation Program) and Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. EST (Evidence-Based Program). For call-in information, please see the program announcements.
Applications for both announcements must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET. Monday, May 10, 2010. The deadline for submission of a letter of intent is Monday, April 5, 2010.
